多くの旅行者の目的はブウィンディ原生国立公園です。マウンテンゴリラが暮らし、1日に発行されるトレッキング許可証の数は限られています。クイーン・エリザベス国立公園にはカジンガ水路があり、イシャシャ地区では木に登るライオンが見られます。マーチソン・フォールズではナイル川が狭い峡谷を流れ抜け、キバレはチンパンジー・トラッキングの地です。

2026年10月2日付の入国管理局の公式通知によると、ウガンダは入国時の黄熱予防接種証明書を不要としました。ただし、タンザニアはウガンダからの入国者に証明書を求めるため、タンザニアやザンジバルへ向かう場合は必要です。出発の10日以上前に接種を済ませてください。マラリアは全国に存在するため、渡航外来で予防薬について相談してください。飲み水はボトル入りかろ過した水にし、出発前に最新の渡航情報を確認してください。2026年10月16日確認。
