Большинству туристов нужна виза. Оформите электронную визу Уганды на официальном портале иммиграционной службы до поездки; однократная туристическая виза стоит 50 долларов США.
Если вы также едете в Кению или Руанду, Восточноафриканская туристическая виза за 100 долларов действует во всех трёх странах 90 дней; её оформляют через страну первого въезда.
Танзанию и Занзибар она не покрывает. Паспорт должен быть действителен не менее шести месяцев и иметь чистые страницы. Разрешения на трекинг к гориллам оформляются отдельно и заранее через Управление дикой природы Уганды или лицензированного туроператора.

По официальному уведомлению иммиграционной службы от 2 октября 2026 года Уганда больше не требует сертификат о прививке от жёлтой лихорадки при въезде. Если вы едете дальше в Танзанию или на Занзибар, сертификат всё равно нужен: Танзания требует его у прибывающих из Уганды.
Сделайте прививку не позднее чем за 10 дней до вылета. Малярия встречается по всей стране, обсудите таблетки с врачом. Пейте бутилированную или фильтрованную воду и перед поездкой проверьте актуальные медицинские предупреждения.
