西北部维龙加山脉中的火山国家公园，是观赏山地大猩猩和金色长尾猴的主要目的地。西南部的纽恩威国家公园是一片古老的雨林，有黑猩猩和一条架在树冠之上的吊桥步道。东部的阿卡盖拉国家公园是一片草原，随着狮子和犀牛被重新引入，这里再次拥有了五大兽。
卢旺达很适合短途旅行。火山国家公园距基加利约两个半小时车程，因此只需在当地停留两三晚就能看到大猩猩。许可证价格比乌干达高，每天发放的数量也有限。
卢旺达不临海，因此桑给巴尔是搭配的海滩目的地。从基加利出发当天即可到达桑给巴尔。请注意，卢旺达比坦桑尼亚和肯尼亚晚一个小时。

所有国籍的游客均可办理落地签证，或提前通过官方网站Irembo在线申请。非洲联盟、英联邦和法语国家组织成员国公民可免费获得30天签证；其他大多数国籍单次入境需支付50美元。东非旅游签证（100美元）在卢旺达、乌干达和肯尼亚有效90天，但不适用于坦桑尼亚。护照须有至少六个月有效期。大猩猩徒步许可证须另行通过卢旺达发展署（RDB）预订。卢旺达不强制购买旅行保险，但我们建议购买。核实日期：2026年10月16日。
